Context:
NAFCC runs on a small team with an outsized mandate: building legitimacy for home-based child care, running accreditations, hosting a national conference, and advocating for legislation that supports family child care educators nationwide.
The Collaboration:
Designing Impact partnered with The Holding Co. to run a strategic planning process (internal interviews, externally facilitated sessions, and a large-scale survey) building toward a strategic plan that clarifies NAFCC's priorities for the next 2-3 years. The team refocused NAFCC's energy around supporting members as business owners by helping them navigate available grants and financial supports, advocating for home-based daycares as critical early education facilities, and building a community of support amongst educators.
